Helen Leen Miranda is a 1992 graduate of Florida Atlantic University where she received her degree cum laude in business. Ms. Miranda received her Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Nova Southeastern University in 1995. She was an editor of The Nova Law Review , an Honor Court Prosecutor and Research Assistant to Professor Steven Friedland.
Ms. Miranda is a member of the Bar of the State of Florida, the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Miranda is a trial and appellate attorney who concentrates her practice on bad faith/ extra-contractual liability, commercial litigation, attorney malpractice defense, Florida Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices litigation, wrongful death and personal injury litigation, employment litigation and insurance coverage litigation. Ms. Miranda prosecutes and defends cases in state and local courts, including the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Florida Supreme Court.
The South Florida Legal Guide listed Ms. Miranda as a Top Up & Comer in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Ms. Miranda is a Committee member of The Florida Bar Professional Ethics Committee and a member of the Miami-Dade Bar Association and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Prior to joining Shendell & Pollock, she was the managing partner of a trial litigation firm in Miami, FL. She actively supports the American Cancer Society, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer as well as local causes within our community.
